Missions
In addition to our announcements, these are our regularly scheduled missions.
Monthly, we take a turn volunteering at the local soup kitchen, Bread Basket. A staff person is there to share instructions and orient volunteers to the space. Preparation of the meals begins at 8am; the meal is served from 11am to 12:30pm and cleanup is done by 1pm. People can volunteer for any amount of the time that fits their schedule.

Second Wednesday of each month
An evolution of a ministry where families without homes would stay at churches, we now partner with the Sam Wornom center to house these families in one stable place. Quarterly, we partner with Pocket Presbyterian to take meals to these families, sit with them, and eat with them.
Family Promise
CUOC is an outgrowth of a ministry began at JUMC. In the United Methodist church we take communion every month—therefore, as often as we take communion, we stock the pantries of our neighbors. These practices are linked.
