Called to Serve

We would like to thank our church family for your prayers for David during his battle with brain cancer. Also, thank you for your expressions of sympathy with his passing on Christmas morning.  --Ruth and Ruth Ann Spears

Handbell Choir:  The handbell choir is looking for a few good men and women. We need a couple more members to complete the choir. You do not have to have any experience playing bells. You don’t even have to be able to read music. We can teach you everything you need to know!  If you’ve ever wished you could play an instrument this is the group for you. We meet Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm.

The Highway to Healing organization is looking for volunteer drivers to take cancer patients to our local hospitals.  If anyone is interested please see Mike I. or call him at 919-774-3709.

The Council Meeting Minutes, monthly financial reports, Ministry team “job descriptions” and the 2011 church leader lists are now available on the “Members Only” page of JonesboroUMC.org.  Consider how you might like to serve!  This is also where to find the pictorial directory. If you do not know how to access the page, contact Deb at LongShadowsNC@windstream.net.

Did you know that there are ideas about personal prayer on our web site? (See the "Growth" page.) Also, there are prayer boxes in both buildings for you to put your prayer request in. The boxes are checked each Thursday before the prayer teams meets to pray for any needs we are aware of. Thank you for upholding your brothers and sisters in the faith (and beyond!) through this powerful ministry.
