The JUMC Church Council had two special meetings on June 15 and June 29. The purpose of the meetings was to identify the challenges that are facing JUMC and the best way to meet them. After vigorous debate and careful consideration, the Council identified 8 challenges and assigned responsibility to church committees/teams to meet them.

     The Church Council will monitor the progress of meeting these challenges at each of its meetings for the remainder of the year. All Council meetings are open to any who wish to attend. Watch the bulletins for the next scheduled Church Council meeting.

What Can We All Do, Right Now?

1) Promote love and caring, within and without; 

2) Speak positively of all JUMC services, within and without;

3) Rotate between JUMC worship services;

4) Bring Bibles to church;

5) Invite friends, relatives, acquaintances, and neighbors to church.
